Le Nitis
A bird's eye view on the windpark
The Nitis wind farm consists of 10 Enercon E-92 wind turbines with a nominal power 2,35 MW. It is located in Annelles and Ménil-Annelles in the Ardennes region in North of France.
Windvision fully developed, constructed and operated the windpark. We commissioned the wind park in August 2017 and sold it two years later.
Symbiose
For this project, Windvision collaborated with Symbiose, an association which promotes more biodiversity. The goal of the collaboration was to give an ecological relevance to the wind farm and create environmental compensatory measures in adequacy with the local cultural practices.
Crowdfunding
From the beginning of the project, the residents of Annelles and Menil-Annelles - the two villages surrounding Le Nitis - wished to financially take part in this innovative project.
It was with no surprise that Windvision was able to collect in a very short time the amount of €200.000 via crowdfunding. Within one day, almost 100 loaners had already lent more than €60.000 !
Cuvée Le Nitis
For each project, Windvision does its utmost to work with local partners. This was no exception for the ‘Le Nitis’ wind farm! For the inauguration, Windvision decided to work with a local vineyard and created especially for the occasion ‘Le Nitis’ Champagne cuvée and 'Le Nitis' appel juice.
